The museum's first major group show for the year presents an intimate look into the art of families of artists and their artistic journeys, from the catalyst to their continuing legacies. The exhibition proves how art can be an instrument for uniting families and teaching family values.
The exhibition will showcase the works of the Castrillo, Delacruz, Garibay, Lebajo, and Orlina families. "Artistic Legacies" runs from January 31 to March 31, 2023, at the Reflections and Basement Galleries. |

Through the years, Phillip Victor has produced a body of works remarkable for its poetic vision and technical finesse. Aspects of Victor’s craft immediately noticeable are the impeccable draughtsmanship, which puts him in the same class of perfectionists as Arturo Luz and Lee Aguinaldo. Although his art appears to be totally abstract or non-referential, especially some of his early works, most of the recent ones are not. After early efforts at minimalism, which he eventually found empty and de-limiting, he focused his imagination on nature as the controlling principle of his art-making. Paintings, mixed media wall-works, and installations using objects such as those found on the beach, acquired compositional complexity.
